Red Shoelaced Bandit Sought Following South Barrie Shoplifting

Barrie Police say a man went into the Cabela’s in the city’s south end just after 6:00 on Friday evening, then grabbed a few pricey items off store shelves. Police say he hid in the ladies change room to hide a pair of boots and a parka in his backpack, leaving the room to grab a dog training set before making a run for the door. Total value of the items stolen is estimated at $1,700.

The suspect is described as:

  • Male
  • White
  • Early 20’s
  • 5’7”
  • Medium build
  • wearing a beige and white hat, a gray jacket under a brown hoodie, a tan vest and jeans, with distinctive brown-coloured running shoes with red shoelaces and red heels.
