City wants to hear what residents think about Barrie's tap water

The city says it is interested in learning why someone may choose to drink private water over Barrie's tap water

Release from the City of Barrie

The City of Barrie is asking residents to provide feedback on the City’s drinking water by taking a brief surveyThe feedback will help the City to continually improve the service delivery of Water Operations.

“Barrie’s drinking water meets or exceeds all provincial safety standards, but it’s also important for us to hear from our customers,” said Diane Moreau, Manager of Water Operations. “We’re hoping to learn the satisfaction level of our customers, and any reasons why someone may choose to drink private water over Barrie’s tap water.”

The City of Barrie ensures that residents, businesses, and visitors have access to safe drinking water. This is done through a complex water treatment and delivery process and continuous testing to ensure that water always meets or exceeds the Safe Drinking Water Act set by the Ministry of the Environment, Conservation and Parks (MECP). The City is dedicated to producing the highest quality tap water.

The deadline to complete the survey is February 10, 2023. Learn more and access the survey via barrie.ca/WaterServices.
