Response to Kitchen Fire Praised By Clearview Fire Chief
Fire Chief Calls Stayner-Area Home Evacuation "Textbook"
A “textbook” reaction to a kitchen fire in Stayner.
It all happened around dinnertime Tuesday night; Clearview fire got the call to a home on Highway 26 just east of Stayner, and arrived to find the young resident had already gotten herself outside. Better yet, Chief Roree Payment says the young lady had the foresight to close the door behind her as she calmly evacuated, before calling 911, saying that is a textbook response to a fire.
Upon arrival of kitchen fire it was great to see the young occupant had evacuated, closed the door behind her and called 911. Textbook job for sure!!!!!!
