RVH expanding drive-thru COVID testing hours of operation over increased demand

Clinic C now running from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. daily

Due to increased demand, Royal Victoria Regional Health Centre (RVH) has extended its COVID-19 drive-thru testing hours of operation.

In the past week alone, RVH has screened almost 500 people and has extended its clinic hours from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. daily, effective immediately. The extended hours will be in place until June 30.

The drive-thru testing centre, known at RVH as Clinic C, is for anyone who is asymptomatic and wants to be tested. Those who wish to make use of the service should drive up to the hospital’s Atrium Entrance but stay in your car. Those on foot may wait by the benches close to the entrance. Those who are screened at this pop-up clinic will be given information on how to find their results online.

Those with symptoms of COVID-19 are asked to attend the Barrie COVID-19 Assessment Centre at 490 Huronia Road. The Prince William walk-in clinic at 829 Big Bay Point Road is also providing COVID-19 testing.
