Safe Landfall Following 197 Days Aboard The ISS

Trio Make Safe Landing in Kazakhstan

Former Kingston and International Space Station resident Andrew Feustel was among the three spacefarers to make landfall this morning.

He, along with fellow astronaut Ricky Arnold and cosmonaut Oleg Artmyev made safe landing in a Kazakhstan desert around quarter to 8 local time, after a 197 day stay aboard the international space station.

The Russian Space Agency ROSCOSMOS has provided a brief demonstration of what the crew aboard the soyuz capsule would have gone through during re-entry into Earth’s atmosphere.
