Santa Claus is coming to town thanks to the Barrie Chamber of Commerce

The Santa Tour begins Nov. 12

Get ready for The Santa Tour.

While the pandemic has put the kibosh on the Barrie Santa Claus parade, the jolly old elf is still coming to town.

The Santa Tour will be shared on the Barrie Chamber’s social media channels using the hashtag #BarrieSantaTour starting Nov. 12. It will feature Santa visiting local businesses and community partners in a series of videos.

On the tour, Santa will be reminding people to head online to support Barrie & District Christmas Cheer and the Barrie Food Bank because they can’t accept physical donations this year. He’ll be checking in on the Rock 95 and KOOL FM Toy Drive drop-off locations to make sure people are helping to fill those bins for friends and neighbours in need. During many of these tours, Santa will be collecting children’s letters, which he will be picking up personally to make sure he can read every one.

Families are encouraged to watch the tour as it progresses throughout the city by following #BarrieSantaTour.

More details will be posted in the coming weeks on the Barrie Chamber’s Facebook page.

The Chamber is encouraging people to shop local this holiday season to help the regional economy.
