Suspects and witnesses sought following drive-by shooting in Schomberg

York Regional Police officers are seeking suspects and witnesses following a drive-by shooting in Schomberg.

On Sunday, Feb. 12, at approximately 8:40 a.m., police responded to reports of a weapons call after a male was shot on Centre Street between Rebellion Way and Church Street.

When officers arrived, they located a 65-year-old male victim who has been transported to hospital with serious gunshot injuries.

The suspect or suspects fled the area going west on Centre Street in a white SUV.

The investigation is ongoing.

Investigators are appealing for witnesses to come forward who may have been in the area at the time of the incident and have not yet spoken to police. Investigators are also seeking any video surveillance from the area or anyone that may have captured dashcam video on the roadways.
