Have an eye, please, for those flashing lights on school buses.
OPP are investigating three cases in the Midland area this week where drivers passed a stopped bus while allowing students on or off.
The law specifies that, unless it’s a divided highway, drivers in both directions must stop for a school bus with its lights flashing.
Student safety is the big issue. But consider, too, the penalties for not stopping – a fine of up to $2000 and six demerit points for a first offence.
