Second child dies after weekend driveway collision in Vaughan
16-year-old driver facing charges
A 10-year-old girl has succumbed to injuries suffered when a passing vehicle veered off the road at noon Sunday and into a driveway on Athabasca Drive in Vaughan.

Three people were struck. An adult male suffered non-life-threatening injuries. York Regional Police reported Monday morning that a 4-year-old boy had succumbed to his injuries. A news release Monday evening advised that the girl had also died
The driver, a 16-year-old male from Richmond Hill, has been charged with:
- Dangerous Operation Cause Death x2
- Criminal Negligence Cause Death x2
- Dangerous Operation Cause Bodily Harm
- Criminal Negligence Cause Bodily Harm
Witnesses who have not yet spoken with police, or anyone who may have dashcam footage of the collision, are being asked to contact police. Investigators have opened a digital evidence portal where members of the community can upload, photos, video surveillance or dashcam footage of the collision.
