Severn man charged, clocked 54 km/h over speed limit on Highway 11

A 22-year-old Severn Township man earned his walking shoes after Ontario Provincial Police said they clocked a vehicle travelling 144 km/h in a 90 km/h zone on Highway 11 northbound in Oro-Medonte on Friday.

Police said the motorist was charged with stunt driving and operating a vehicle without insurance.

The driver received a 30-day licence suspension, and his vehicle was impounded for 14 days.
