The City of Barrie has created an online survey to poll residents on road safety and speed changes in the city.
The new online road safety page on the Building Barrie website has new ways to give feedback: a survey and an interactive map. The survey’s main focus is to find out whether residents are in favour of a citywide speed reduction or solely a reduction in residential areas. On the other hand, the interactive map allows residents to pinpoint specific roads or intersections they think could use some attention.
The feedback received will be incorporated into a report this fall that will consider future speed reductions, road safety programs, and traffic-calming measures such as radar speed signs, speed cushions, road diets, and traffic bollard islands.
Head over to the website right now to register and start giving your feedback.
