The County of Simcoe is inviting residents to share their experiences with food waste and Green Cart use through a short online survey now available to households across the region.
The survey asks about everyday habits, challenges residents may face, and ideas that could make using the Green Cart easier. It takes about 10 to 12 minutes to complete, and all responses are voluntary and confidential. Feedback will help guide future education and awareness initiatives for our Organics Program.
“We are asking our residents for their insights on what’s working and what could be improved,” said Warden Basil Clarke. “Their input will help us strengthen our organics program and hopefully will encourage more households to use their organics cart and remove food waste and other organic materials from our garbage stream.”
The County encourages all residents to take part in the green cart program and help build a more sustainable future for Simcoe County. In addition to the survey, engagement teams will be attending local grocery stores, festivals and markets throughout the summer to collect as much feedback as possible.
