Simcoe Muskoka District Health Unit report two new COVID-19 cases and seven recoveries

Springwater man and Bradford woman represent the latest additions to the region's tally

The Simcoe Muskoka District Health Unit has announced two new cases of COVID-19 to the region’s case count; a Springwater man in his 30s, and a woman in her 50s from Bradford.

This brings the number of cases to 261.

Of the total case count, 144 people recovered, which is seven more than yesterday. No change to the region’s death toll; fifteen people have lost their lives to COVID-19 in our region to date, 14 in Simcoe, one in Muskoka.

Public Health Ontario has confirmed another 525 cases of COVID-19 have been added to the provincial caseload, now surpassing 15,000 people.
