Simcoe Muskoka Wine/Gift Ninjas group helps deliver cheer and treats

Local Facebook group allows you to drop off care packages and get some in return

Everyone likes to get presents. A new facebook group in Simcoe/ Muskoka allows people to share gifts and some excitement during this strange time.

The Simcoe Muskoka Wine/ Gift Ninjas group connects people in all areas to share treats, sweets, and yes, even wine, by delivering it to your doorstep.

Admin Candice LaHay says it works by first joining the group on Facebook, you then find people in your city and leave an address. You then pick someone else’s address to drop off a gift. “The gift can consist of anything big or small.  People receive snacks, self-care items, wine, coolers, and more.”

The admins first got the idea from a similar group that was started in Alberta in March. LaHay says her group has only been up for one week and already has 800 members.

“The response has been terrific! So many people love spreading kindness. We are a very positive group.”
