Slight Drop In Barrie Housing Market Sales, Prices
Market Around Simcoe County Edges Downward Too
The Barrie housing market went for a dip last month.
Stats are in from the Barrie and District Association of Realtors that show a 13.5 per cent decline in sales in the city between October and November, and a 5.6 per cent drop in the average price to $453,000 and change.
Outside of Barrie, sales were off 23 and a half per cent, with a slight drop in average price to just over
Association President Geoff Halford is not surprised by these numbers, saying the trend is normal. “Overall, home prices in our area are down slightly from last month, but this trend is normal for this time of year,” says Halford. “We expect that as we move into the new year, these statistics will start to move upwards again.”
