The Simcoe Muskoka District Health Unit has announced the reopening of its Barrie Clinic at 80 Bradford Street after undergoing renovations. The clinic closed temporarily in September 2022 for repairs that were funded by a grant from the Ontario Seniors Dental Care Program. The renovations include an expansion of the Dental Clinic space, the relocation of the Sexual Health Clinic within the suite, and the addition of a public entrance to the Sexual Health Clinic.
The following services are available at the clinic: Sexual Health/Harm Reduction, which is open from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and 1:30 to 4:30 p.m., Monday to Friday. The Sexual Health Clinic appointments can be booked by calling Health Connection at 1-877-721-7520. Needle Exchange program supplies, naloxone kits, and Sexual Health Clinic services are available on a walk-in basis.
The Dental Clinic offers dental screening services for publicly funded programs, including Healthy Smiles Ontario and the Ontario Seniors Dental Care Program, by appointment only.
