The First Lady trailer released

The trailer for “The First Lady” has dropped and shows the jaw-dropping transformations the talented actresses went through.

The anthology series jumps back and forth between decades showing the lives of each of the first ladies.

Viola Davis portrays Michelle Obama, Michelle Pfeiffer plays Betty Ford, while Gillian Anderson stars as Eleanor Roosevelt.

In a previous interview with entertainment weekly, Davis said she did her homework before accepting the role of Michelle Obama.

She said she read her book, watched documentaries, and spoke to the First Lady herself before saying yes to the role.

“I feel very protective of Michelle,” Davis explained to the magazine.
“It’s our job as actors not to judge whoever we are portraying, but I ended up thinking she’s just dope.”

It premiered on April 17 on Showtime.
