Spirit Halloween is giving back plenty of sass to Saturday Night Live after the sketch comedy show made fun of it this weekend.
On the latest episode of SNL, comedians Heidi Gardner, Chloe Fineman and Michael Longfellow did a mock commercial for the seasonal store.

It starts with a voiceover saying “Times may be good on Wall Street, but on Main Street, communities are struggling. Closed stores, shuttered businesses, empty parking lots. … When hard times hit, it’s easy to feel like no one cares. But help is on the way.”
It continues " We don’t see an abandoned Kmart, We see a spirit, a Spirit Halloween.”
The mock commercial pokes fun at many things about the store including how the store tweaks their costume's names to avoid a lawsuit, with one girl asking if they carry Taylor Swift costumes.
She's then handed a "Blonde Woman Singing" costume and gets a verbal burn from the associate.
It ends with the phrase, “Spirit Halloween. When you need us, we’re here. For six weeks,” the threesome concludes. “Because on November 1, we’re gone. And all this junk will be in the dumpster.”

Spirit Halloween took notice of the skit and hilariously clapped back at the program by making a fake costume just for SNL titled “Irrelevant 50-Year Old TV Show” that includes “dated references,” “unknown cast members” and “shrinking ratings.”
They captioned their picture on social media " We are great at raising things back from the dead @nbcsnl."
