
South Simcoe Police (SSP) are investigating an outdoor cannabis cultivation site Friday in Bradford West Gwillimbury, resulting in a large police presence in the area.
Friday, at 8:30 a.m., SSP arrived at the location in the area of Canal Road and executed a search warrannt.
The warrant is in relation to an investigation involving marijuana plants at an outdoor grow operation where an estimated 1,500 to 2,000 plants are located on the property.

Members of SSP's emergency response, street crime and crime against persons units are assisting with the search on-scene.
A perimeter has been cordoned off around the property. Police say there's no risk to public safety.
The investigation remains ongoing and police say further information will be released as it becomes available.
