South Simcoe Police are investigating an attempted arson in Bradford Sunday, and are appealing for information from the public.
At 10:45 p.m., officers responded to reports of an attempted arson at two adjacent residences on Rowe Street in the Bond Head area.
Upon investigation, police found that two unidentified suspects approached the back of the homes and broke into the homes by destroying the kitchen windows.
Nearby residents and private security personnel were reportedly alerted by the noise and suspicious activity, and eventually intervened. That led to the suspects fleeing the scene in what's described as a newer model, blue SUV.
While on-scene, police recovered two jerry cans left behind by the suspects which are thought to have been carrying a liquid accelerant.
The Crimes Against Person (CAP) unit of the South Simcoe Police is actively investigating this incident and is appealing to the public for information.
