South Simcoe Police have obtained an arrest warrant for a suspect following a stabbing in Bradford.

At around 11:40 a.m. last Friday, police were called after a 54-year-old man was stabbed in the face at an apartment in the area of Holland Street West and Simcoe Road. The victim was transported to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. The suspect fled the scene.

As a result of the investigation, police have issued an arrest warrant for a 39-year-old man of no fixed address on charges of assault with a weapon, aggravated assault, and possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose.

Police say this is an isolated incident and there is no threat to public safety.
