Stolen construction equipment seized, two Oro-Medonte men charged

Two Oro-Medonte men have been charged after Orillia OPP found stolen construction equipment on a property.

On Apr. 11, 2024, provincial police executed a search warrant at a commercial property on Highway 11 and recovered an industrial-grade tamper worth over $18,000 and seized nine other pieces of equipment.

A 43-year-old has been charged with escaping lawful custody, resisting a peace officer, obstructing a peace officer and possession of property obtained by crime.

A 41-year-old is up on a charge of possession of property obtained by crime.
