A Bradford homeowner who had money and property stolen during a residential break-in last Saturday has had it returned, and South Simcoe Police (SSP) have charged a suspect.
Police say they responded to a report of a break and enter in progress at a home that evening in the area of Melbourne Drive and Miller Park Avenue. The residents were not home at the time and a suspect fled the scene before police arrived.
"Street Crime Unit officers subsequently executed search warrants on a vehicle, a storage locker and a residence, where a suspect was arrested. Police recovered the stolen property," according to a news released from SSP on Friday.
A 55-year-old Newmarket man is facing charges.
