Barrie Police have the stolen U-Haul truck, but not the suspect.
Police say the truck was recovered in the area of Bayfield Street and Grove Street on Monday afternoon, but the suspect fled before officers arrived.
They added that a canine track was unsuccessful.
Police say the suspect was wearing black shorts, a black shirt and was carrying a longboard at the time.
Anyone in the area of Drury Lane with camera footage is being asked to contact authorities.
