Two charged in stolen vehicle probe in Essa Township

A man and woman face charges in connection to a stolen vehicle investigation in Essa Township, Nottawasaga OPP say.

Police say they received information on Sunday around 9:38 a.m. about a vehicle that was stolen from the area of 11th Line and 25 Sideroad.

About 20 minutes later, according to police, the stolen vehicle was spotted, stopped, and the two occupants were arrested.

A 52- year-old Adjala-Tosorontio woman has been charged with:

  • Possession of Property Obtained by Crime over $5,000

While a 41-year-old Penetanguishene man was charged with:

  • Possession of Property Obtained by Crime over $5,000
  • Fail to Comply with Probation Order

Both are being held pending a bail hearing.
