South Simcoe police recovered a stolen truck and the driver is facing a few charges including drug possession.
An officer was patrolling Bridge Street in Bradford West Gwillimbury on Tuesday around 11:15 a.m. when they "observed an inconsistency with a licence plate" of a black Ram pick-up truck.
"Police followed the vehicle into a parking lot on Yonge Street in York Region," communications officials from the South Simcoe Police Service described in a release today.
"During the stop, the driver of the truck attempted to flee from police that resulted in the suspect vehicle entering a ditch, and ultimately, the driver surrendering to police."
