Driver runs out of gas fleeing from Stunt Driving investigation
Clocked a driver at 109 km/h in a 50-zone at Wasaga Beach
A Quebec man has been charged in a stunt driving investigation that began early this morning at Wasaga Beach and ended in Springwater Township.
Huronia West OPP say an officer clocked a driver at 109 km/h in a 50-zone on River Road West.
Police attempted to stop the vehicle, but the driver failed to comply.
A short time later, officers spotted the vehicle in a ‘live’ lane on Crossland Road. It had run out of gas.
A 30-year-old man has been charged with:
- Race a motor vehicle – Excessive speed
- Fail to stop for police
He was issued a 7-day licence suspension in Ontario and the vehicle was impounded for a period of 14 days.
