Barrie police say they are investigating a "suspicious incident" involving a man who was seated in a parked car at 30 North Village Way in the Park Place shopping centre.

Police were alerted about the incident on Wednesday and learned it had taken place around 8 p.m. the day before near the Winners store.

It's alleged the man was exposing himself.

"The male was wearing blue clothing, had short hair and a scruffy beard. The vehicle he was in is described as an older 4-door grey sedan that appeared to be full of belongings," according to a police news release.

Police are seeking the assistance of the public and are asking that anyone who was in the area of the store and may have dash camera video, to please contact the investigating officer Barrie Police Constable Besley at bbesley@barriepolice.ca.
