Suspect sought after a few windows were smashed and a cash register stolen on Bayfield Street
Cash register recovered the next day
The Barrie Police Service is on the hunt for a suspect after some windows were broken, and a cash register was stolen.
Police were called to the Bayfield Mall at around 11:30 p.m. Thursday, with reports of a break and enter. Officers arrived to find someone had smashed in a window at the Rexall Pharmacy; it appears nothing was taken.
A few minutes later, police were notified of a break and enter at Carlo’s Barber Shop, directly across the street from the Bayfield Mall. A cash register was stolen from that location.
However, police got the call to the Red Lobster restaurant on Bayfield St. just before 10 a.m. Friday to find the stolen register had been abandoned there.
The suspect is described as:
- white
- male
- 5’8″ to 5’10”
- thin build
- wearing a light-coloured toque, black hoodie, black backpack with reflective straps, dark shorts, and dark shoes.
