Suspect Sought Following Armed Robbery in Barrie

Suspect Allegedly Demanded Clerk Lay On The Ground

Cops are on the hunt for a suspect after a daylight armed robbery.

Barrie Police investigators say someone walked into a convenience store on Innisfil St. around 6:00 Friday evening, and walked right behind the counter. That’s when police say the bad guy displayed a weapon and demanded the clerk lay down on the ground.

It’s said the suspect grabbed some cash and cigarettes before running from the store. The employee was not hurt.

The suspect is described as:

  • Younger male (adult age)
  • Tall with a slim build
  • Wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, with a black mask over his face, black pants with a Nike logo on the thigh, gloves and black shoes.
