Suspect Vehicle Spotted A Few Houses Away From Scene of Barrie Hit and Run

Barrie Man Facing Drunk Driving Charge

Some telltale signs lead Barrie Police to make a hit and run arrest.

Officers were called out to Patterson Road around 8:30 Friday morning, with reports a parked car had been struck by another vehicle that took off afterwards.

A few doors down, officers noticed a vehicle parked in a driveway, with significant damage to the front passenger-side tire. A 27-year-old Barrie man was found not far off, and taken to hospital for treatment of injuries possibly sustained during the crash.

He will go on to face charges of Impaired Driving, Fail To Remain At the Scene of a Crash, and Driving with a Suspended Licence.
