A driver from Toronto is facing a few charges following an incident where Barrie police say they crashed into snowbanks and a parked car.
Officers say they were contacted early this morning by a concerned citizen reporting a possible impaired driver.
"Based upon information provided by the citizen that included the licence plate of the suspected impaired driver, responding officers were able to locate the involved motor vehicle on Livia Herman Way after it had struck a snowbank," Barrie Police Service officials wrote in a release.
"The driver sped off after attempts were made to stop it, and continued northbound on Michael Crescent. As the driver continued northbound on Michael Crescent, he failed to negotiate a right turn, struck another snowbank and a parked car before coming to rest on the front lawn of a residence."

According to police, the driver will be released today and scheduled for Barrie court later.
