There was plenty of police activity in the Glenridge and Carol Roads area of Barrie as officers assisted by the High Harm Unit and Police Canine Unit arrested a 16-year-old boy who was wanted on four outstanding warrants.
Police say the youth was nabbed after a short canine track through several backyards Wednesday afternoon.
He was transported to police headquarters and kept in custody pending a bail hearing on Thursday.
Police thanked the public for their understanding as the activity temporarily impacted homes and a school in the search area.
"This incident, which was isolated, at no time impacted public safety and was concluded in 21 minutes," police said in a news release.
