Testing rates on the rise as Public Health Ontario announces another bump in new COVID-19 cases
Numbers from Public Health indicate a surge of people seeking out testing
There were 17,615 COVID-19 tests run across Ontario in its latest batch, after days of being unable to hit the 16,000 target.
Public Health Ontario announced the increased testing rates today, adding there were 11,868 tests in backlog amid a surge of people seeking out testing.
This comes as provincial health officials announce 383 new cases of COVID-19 in Ontario, bringing to end a two-day streak of numbers below 300.
The province also counted another 301 recoveries since yesterday’s update, along with 34 lives lost.
