The Barrie Ball Hockey Club believes that hockey should be available to everyone young and old. Whether you're looking for a recreational or competitive experience, The Barrie Ball Hockey Club has a variety of leagues and options for you (and your friends) to enjoy.
It can be tough to put together a pick-up game of road hockey. Do you have enough players? Who's playing goal? Who's going to run after the ball when you inevitably miss that top-shelf shot and it flys a block down the road? The Barrie Ball Hockey Club has an answer to all these problems. With a 12 game season and 2 playoff games guaranteed, you get 14 games where all you have to do is show up and play!
Leagues are separated into multiple tiers so you can enjoy the game with other players that match your skill level. Children's leagues are put together with an emphasis on team balance. There is also a house league with the focus on fair play and equal playing time!
The Barrie Ball Hockey Club also offers up week-long summer camps for ages 6-12. Kids will learn how to shoot, stick handle, pass, 1-1 techniques, backchecking, forechecking, and goaltending just to name a few! There are also other games like dodgeball, capture the flag and mini sticks!
Thanks to some awesome sponsorships, youth players can head over to a Wendy's restaurant after the game for a free frosty too! It is a really fun (and delicious) way to promote some good old fashion team bonding!
If you are further North, there is a second location in Orillia as well! Between that and the Barrie location, hockey is always just around the corner.
