From his first foray into the sport began with scarfing down pizza slices. He faced legendary competitive eater Takeru Kobayashi in Barrie. He then had a third place finish - in the most Canadian of competitions - a poutine eating race in Toronto. Thomas is always up for a glutenous challenge.
The 3 Pound Challenge
We bet Thomas he couldn't finish the new Kitchen Sink burger at Kenzington Burger Bar in under 12 minutes.
The stats
Que the Kitchen Sink burger at Kenzington Burger Bar. This three pound mammoth includes, two beef patties, two turkey patties, bacon, peameal bacon, two fried chicken breasts, more bacon, grilled chicken, more peameal bacon, cheddar cheese, mozzarella cheese, monterey Jack cheese, brie cheese, fried eggs, onion rings, french fries, gravy, cheese curds, pulled pork, jalapeño popper, lettuce, tomato, onion and a pickle of course.
New Record to Beat
Thomas took on this challenge the only way he knows how, hands on. He ripped into it like it owed him money. Taking this giant burger down in a time of 11:06! Think you can beat that? Even finishing this thing would be a feat for most of us. But records are set to be broken.
