There was an increased police presence outside of Worsley Public School in Wasaga Beach on Friday in relation to threats made against the school.

Around 9:30 a.m., police say the principal of the elementary school contacted them about the threats.

" Officers attended the school while an investigation was conducted. It was determined through a thorough investigation that the allegations were false and there was no threat to public safety. Worsley Public School did not go into lockdown as officers remained on the scene throughout the day to ensure the safety of students and faculty," according to a police news release.
