Three Killed In Crash On Highway 12
Driver of SUV crossed centre line
Three people were killed early Saturday morning in a head-on collision on Highway 7/12 near the 4th Line of Scugog Township.
OPP say a northbound SUV crossed into the southbound lanes and collided head-on with a passenger vehicle.
The deceased – a 59-year-old man and a 55-year-old female from Goodwood and a 44-year-old female from Port Perry – were all in the southbound vehicle. A 41-year-old Goodwood woman – who was in the same vehicle – is in hospital with critical injuries.
The driver of the SUV – a 68-year-old man from Greenbank – suffered serious injuries.
Police say road or weather conditions do not appear to have been factors in the collision.
The investigation continues.
