(Updated) Cottage country carnage as three people die in crash near Parry Sound

Three people are dead and another person has been charged with impaired driving and other offences in connection with a single-vehicle crash Saturday night in Seguin Township.

Ontario Provincial Police say a fourth person was airlifted to a Toronto trauma centre with life-threatening injuries.

The collision happened around 11 p.m. on Tally Ho-Swords Road, southeast of Parry Sound. As a result of the crash, Tally Ho-Swords Road was closed between Forest Glen Road and Turtle Lake Road, north of Highway 141, for the police investigation.

A 23-year-old Kingston man has been charged with the following:

  • Dangerous Operation causing bodily harm
  • Dangerous Operation causing death - 3 counts
  • Operation while impaired causing bodily harm
  • Operation while impaired causing death - 3 counts

The accused was held for bail and is scheduled to appear in court on Monday.
