The Canadian Baseball Hall of Fame honoured the achievements of four baseball legends at its 2023 induction ceremony.
The event, held in St. Marys on Saturday, June 17, paid tribute to Jesse Barfield, Denis Boucher, Rich Harden, and Joe Wiwchar.
In addition to recognizing the 2023 inductees, the Hall of Fame also celebrated 2020 inductees, John Olerud and Jacques Doucet.
Three of those names suited up for the Toronto Blue Jays in Olerud (1989-96), Barfield (1981-92), and Boucher (1991-94), as well as Doucet who provided play-by-play in French from 2011 to 2022.
Olerud, who played first base, shared his thoughts on his time with the Jays and the World Series titles in 1992 and 1993.
"It was an electric atmosphere and all the great players that I got a chance to play with and learn from and watch play," said Olerud. "It was a great experience with the World Series wins and the success that we had."
"It's a huge honour to be included with these inductees and other people that are in the hall of fame."
