Toronto rower killed following Lake Muskoka collision with another vessel

No charges laid as investigation into fatal crash continues

A boatinng mishap on Lake Muskoka has claimed the life of a Toronto man.

Bracebridge OPP say it received reports of a boating collision on the lake just before noon on Sunday, July 5. A watercraft and human-powered vessel collided, and the rower was pronounced deceased shortly afterward.

The OPP have identified the victim as 58-year-old Michael Cohen of Toronto, said to be an avid rower. The investigation is ongoing and anyone with information is asked to call Bracebridge OPP at (888) 310-1122 or call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
