An act of mischief in Tottenham is under investigation by provincial police.

Nottawasaga OPP say they are trying to identify a suspect who slashed the tires of a vehicle.

Police say it was parked overnight in the legion parking lot, located at 25 Richmond Street East, on Friday, Nov. 15.

"Video obtained shows at approximately 1:43 a.m., a Caucasian male wearing an all-black hoodie, blue jeans, and black and white shoes approach the vehicle to the passenger side and proceed to stab the tires," according to authorities.

"The suspect then departs the area while placing an item in his pocket, last seen heading northbound on Elizabeth Street," OPP said.

Officers are asking anyone living in the area with doorbell cameras or home exterior surveillance to review footage to see if anyone matches the suspect's description.

Contact provincial police at 1-888-310-1122 if you have any information.
