A driver was found passed out in a parked tow truck in Penetanguishene, prompting an investigation and subsequent charges.

Saturday at approximately 6:13 p.m., Southern Georgian Bay OPP got to the scene on Broad Street, and parked their cruisers in a manner to prevent the driver from fleeing.

After waking the man, police spoke to him, investigating him for impaired driving. That investigation continued at the detachment.

The 27-year-old was charged with two impaired driving-related charges. His vehicle was impounded and licence suspended. He will appear in court in mid-August.
