A man from Shelburne is facing 16 charges after a traffic stop Sunday evening on Mulcaster Street in Barrrie.
Police say they received complaints about motorcycles causing a disturbance on Dunlop Street East.
A motorcycle was pulled over by officers after learning one of the drivers was operating the bike with a suspended licence.
After arresting the 29-year-old, police say a search turned up a loaded firearm, along with drugs and a dagger-style knife.
Charges against the accused include possession of a firearm, possession of a loaded prohibited or restricted firearm, careless storage of a firearm, carrying a concealed weapon, possession of a controlled substance, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, driving while under suspension, having care or control of a vehicle with cannabis readily available, knowledge of unauthorized possession of a firearm, possession contrary to a prohibition order, possession of a prohibited or restricted firearm with ammunition, possession of a firearm, knowing that the serial number on it had been altered, defaced, or removed, and two counts each of failing to comply with a release order.
The motorcycle was towed, and the accused was held for a bail hearing.
