Traffic stop in Orillia leads to drug and property crime charges against the driver

Police allege the driver was in possession of drugs

Nine drug and property crime related charges against a 24 year old Orillia man.

OPP in Orillia pulled over a vehicle on Barrie Road back on February 8 and arrested the driver for obstructing police.

They allege he was also in possession of drugs.

A drug recognition expert from Rama First Nations Police Service was called to assist in the investigaton, leading police to charge the motorist with operating a vehicle while impaired by drugs.

There was also an additional charge of failing to comply with a court order.

A 27 year old passenger from Bracebridge faces several drug charges.
