The official trailer for Martin Scorsese's "Killers of the Flower Moon" provides intense scenes played by the creme-de-la-creme of actors.
The highly anticipated film stars Leonardo DiCaprio, Robert De Niro, Lily Gladstone, Brendan Fraser and Jesse Plemons.
A synopsis reads, "Based on a true story and told through the improbable romance of Ernest Burkhart, and Mollie Kyle. Killers of the Flower Moon is an epic western crime saga, where real love crosses paths with unspeakable betrayal."
The film is set in 1920s Oklahoma and centres around the serial killings of members of the Osage Nation, who became wealthy due to the oil discovered on their land.
Osage Nation members were killed and extorted by white interlopers seeking their oil fortune, later dubbed the "Reign of Terror."
The film is adapted from David Grann's 2017 book "Killers of the Flower Moon: The Osage Murders and the Birth of the FBI."
