Four from Gravenhurst and Brampton face charges following an investigation into several trailer thefts throughout Muskoka and Central Ontario.
On March 22, officers from the Muskoka Community Street Crime Unit (CSCU), with the help of Barrie police, and the Orillia, Southern Georgian Bay and Caledon CSCU teams, executed two search warrants in Gravenhurst and Brampton.
The following accused were arrested and charged.
A 60-year-old Gravenhurst man:
- Theft over $5,000 x11
- Break and enter
- Possession of property obtained by crime x3
- Possession of break-in instruments
- Mischief under $5,000 x4
- Theft under $5,000
- Failure to stop after an accident
A 34-year-old Gravenhurst man:
- Theft over $5,000 x4
- Break and enter
- Possession of property obtained by crime x3
- Mischief under $5,000
- Careless storage of a firearm
- Unauthorized possession of a firearm
A 39-years-old Gravenhurst woman:
- Theft over $5,000
- Possession of property obtained by crime x2
A 60-year-old Brampton man:
- Trafficking property obtained by crime
All accused will appear in Bracebridge court on April 25.
