Two charged after drug trafficking investigation in Muskoka

Police say they seized a quantity of cocaine valued at $20,000

Two people from Huntsville face drug and weapon charges following a drug trafficking investigation in Muskoka.

On Thursday, June 22, Bracebridge OPP say officers conducted a traffic stop and arrested two individuals on Highway 11 in Gravenhurst.

Police say they seized a quantity of cocaine valued at $20,000 and a set of brass knuckles.

A 30-year-old Hunstville woman was charged with:

  • Possession of Cocaine for the Purpose of Trafficking CDSA 5(2)
  • Fail to Comply with Release Order CC 145(5)(a)
  • Possession of a Weapon for Dangerous Purpose CC 88

She was held for a bail hearing in Bracebridge court on June 23.

While a 29-year-old Hunstville woman is up on one charge:

  • Possession of Cocaine for the Purpose of Trafficking CDSA 5(2)

She is scheduled to appear in court on August 1.
