
Barrie Police allege there was a seat switch during a traffic stop after officers spotted a vehicle using the shoulder of Dunlop Street West to get around slow-moving traffic.
Shortly after 6 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 25, police pulled over the vehicle nearby on Hart Drive

Police allege that as the vehicle stopped, the driver moved into the backseat while the passenger moved into the driver's seat.
Officers determined the man who had been originally behind the wheel was operating the vehicle with a suspended licence.
A 23-year-old Barrie man was charged with dangerous operation, obstructing police, and driving while under suspension.
The 22-year-old passenger was charged with obstructing police.
"Police remind drivers to be patient when travelling through construction zones. Trying to save a few minutes is never worth putting road workers, pedestrians, or other motorists in harm’s way," police said in a news release.
