Two people are missing and a search is underway by police after a boating collision on Lake Rosseau in Muskoka Lakes Township.
Around 10:40 p.m. on Friday, police say officers responded to a report of a boating collision on Lake Rosseau, near Backenrig Bay.
Emergency crews located a severely damaged vessel resting on a rock ledge.
Bracebridge OPP say two individuals believed to have been aboard were missing.
Search efforts were initiated, though neither individual was located at the scene or the surrounding area.
Police say the OPP Underwater Search and Recovery Unit has been deployed and is assisting with search efforts in the water.
Members of the public are asked to avoid the area and allow emergency responders to safely and thoroughly conduct their search operations.
